Jayme's Fitness & Dance (JFD) is heading into
its 9th season of dance. We are an all inclusive Recreational Dance Studio
focusing on technique, injury prevention, self-esteem,
health & wellness and of course fun!
We use age appropriate music, choreography and costumes and
our newly built Professional Dance Studio is equipped with
sprung floors to ensure the minimization of dance injury.
We concentrate on both physical and mental health and have
strong anti-bullying initiatives. We encourage our students to
work hard and do their best without the
pressure of being perfect.
At JFD we strive to provide an uplifting environment
where your child feels welcome and is excited to come to class.
We offer recreational classes for ages 2-adult; including
Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Precision, Hip Hop, Modern,
Musical Theatre, Ballroom, Music & Movement for
Parents and Tots 1-3 yrs, and a "Mini Christmas Show" class.
At JFD we believe it is important to teach our
Students to give back to their community. This also helps build
confidence and character in our students. We do that by giving them
the opportunity to perform at various Charity and
Fundraising events throughout the year. Past events we have danced at are;
the "Edgerton Homecoming"(2017),
"Fire & Wheels," "Jingle Mingle," "Wainwright Stampede Kickoff,"
"Dance Spectacular" (ADEA), where our dancers had the privilege of
dancing on the beautiful stage at the Francis Winspear Centre in Edmonton.
We also offer a "Christmas Show" class where we take our dancers to
perform for the Seniors at "Points West" and the "Battle River Lodge" during
the month of December.
Since opening our doors in 2015, we have donated one dollar from every
recital ticket sold to the Wainwright Food Bank. We believe that
every little bit, no matter how small, helps. From our ticket sales and
cash donations last year, we donated $764.85 to the Wainwright Food Bank.
Recently we have started to branch out into the competitive dance world.
Dance Festivals can be a great opportunity for our students to grow and
gain confidence. But as we move forward into the competitive world,
we will keep in mind the well-being of our students and
that will always be paramount.
JFD is a member of Dance Safe Alberta.
Our instructors are currently working on becoming
C.D.T.A. certified and all of our instructors, including our
student instructors, are A.D.E.A members.
Our Spring Recital is always held on the last weekend in May
